I am Jean Jacques Janse van Rensburg: founder and CEO of SelfBuiltSystems, a frontier AI systems firm, and co-founder of . I built LNCELOT, an intelligence and prediction market platform, and Leyline AI. I run business and AI strategy across a private equity portfolio, where I own growth end to end: sales, marketing, and operations.

One line: I compound intelligence, capital, and organizations.

The operating stack is intelligence, bits, atoms, and electrons. Intelligence is the model layer. Bits are the software and harness around it. Atoms are the hardware it runs on. Electrons are the energy that feeds it. Most firms rent the top layer and ignore the rest. I build across all four.

My epistemology comes from Popper and Deutsch: knowledge grows by bold conjecture and ruthless criticism, and good explanations are hard to vary. Every strategy, model, and belief I hold is conjectural and improvable. That is not a philosophy hobby. It is the operating system.

Start with the anchor essay: An API for Working With Me.

Proof

  • SelfBuiltSystems: designs and deploys full-stack AI operating architecture for founders and firms. Access is by application. selfbuiltsystems.com
  • Portfolio operations: growth, financial models, and capital allocation inside a private equity environment.
  • LNCELOT: prediction markets, because beliefs should carry a price.
  • Essays and the YouTube channel on AI, private equity, and venture capital: the thinking, in public, on the record.

Work with me

There are four interfaces.

Read. The essays are free, forever. Subscribe and you have the highest-bandwidth channel to how I think.

Build. If you are a founder or firm that wants frontier AI systems or private AI infrastructure, apply through SelfBuiltSystems. Do not pitch me tooling demos. Bring a business constraint.

Invest. If you are raising or co-investing, read the essays first. A pitch that references the thesis it is answering gets read. A cold deck does not.

Advise. An advisory call is $1,000 per hour. The price is a filter, not a revenue line: it guarantees that both of us show up with a problem worth solving. Come with one specific decision, constraint, or system. Email triplejaythecoolestkidinafrica@gmail.com with the subject line "Advisory" and three sentences: who you are, the decision, the deadline.

Contact

Email is the socket: triplejaythecoolestkidinafrica@gmail.com. Short, specific messages get answers. Slop gets silence.
